TATTOO GUIDE · PUNE
How should I prepare before getting a tattoo?
You don't need a complicated ritual. A proper meal, enough water, comfortable clothing and a reasonably rested body will take you a long way.
EAT BEFORE YOU COME
Eat before you come
Don't arrive hungry. Have a proper meal before your appointment so you aren't trying to sit through a tattoo while feeling weak or distracted.
You don't need a special tattoo diet. Just eat normally and give yourself enough time before the session.
STAY HYDRATED
Stay hydrated
Drink water before your appointment and throughout the day. Being comfortable and hydrated is a much better starting point than arriving exhausted and dehydrated.
There is no prize for showing up thirsty.
GET SOME SLEEP
Get some sleep
A tattoo session is easier when you are rested. If possible, avoid booking a long session after a night of very little sleep.
You want to be able to sit still, communicate with your artist and make decisions clearly.
WHAT TO WEAR
What to wear
Wear something comfortable that gives the artist access to the area being tattooed. Think about how the clothing will sit around a fresh tattoo when you leave.
For larger pieces, ask us what clothing will make the appointment easiest.
WHAT TO BRING
What to bring
Bring your references, ideas and questions. If you are unsure about the design, that's okay — you don't need to have everything solved before the conversation.
Bring a valid ID as well. We require clients to be at least 18 years old.
ONE MORE QUESTION?
Still unsure?
That's exactly what a conversation with the artist is for.
Can I drink alcohol before a tattoo?
We recommend avoiding alcohol before your appointment. If you have questions about medicines, medical conditions or anything else that could affect your session, speak to your healthcare professional.
TALK TO DAYARA
You don't have to figure it all out alone.
Bring your idea, your questions or your doubts. We'll talk through the tattoo with you and help you make an informed decision.
